52 days out

So we have officially have 52 days till we say I DO! It has gone so fast and my mom is there to quickly remind me how much I still have left to do. It's extremely hard for me to delegate the things I need to get done but at this point, I really don't have a choice because I honestly have NO time to get everything done. We ordered invitations last week and hope to recieve them by the end of this week so we can stuff them and have them mailed out by Monday of next week. My mom and Aunt Cheryl have been working on the programs...we still haven't narrowed down exactly how we want them worded or what color paper we are going to use but all that should be done this weekend. My mom has been incredible these past couple of weeks while I've been so busy. She has made sure that I stay on top of things and get things done...even though she drives me a little nuts about it sometimes but I couldn't get any of it done without her. Thank you momma...I know I don't tell you enough. We are slowly getting the ceremony mapped out with music and who is walking who down the aisle. There is so much stuff you don't even think about! AAHHHHH.

On to the less stressful things...we had three showers in the past couple of weeks. All were absolutely incredible and so much fun. We are so blessed to have family and friends that care about us and love us so much and support us during this huge step in our lives. We got lots of goodies (we can't even fit it all in the apartment). We will have to store some of it till we move into a house hopefully in November. We definately have more than we deserve to begin our lives together. We went this past weekend and registered for more things so that people have a variety to choose from for the wedding because after those showers, we were quickly running out of a registry because we were getting so many things! Which we are soo very thankful for...but man oh man the thank you cards are brutal! I don't even want to think about them after the wedding. Speaking of after the wedding, we finally booked our honeymoon for 9 days and 8 nights in Kona Village in Hawaii. We couldn't decide if we wanted to spend most of our time running around doing all the tourist things or if we wanted to relax and enjoy our time together. We decided that all the major things we wanted to see in Hawaii were on the main island (Pearl Harbor, volcanos, horseback riding) which is where Kona is so we can spend most of our time relaxing and staying around (or in) the hut :) Sorry momma and daddy!

Well track is almost over as well as club volleyball so once that's done I will hoepfully have a little room to breathe. I recently found out I was being moved to 9th grade next year due to an influx of incoming freshman. I wasn't too keen on the idea at first but I've met with them a couple of times and they are all really nice and I am very much looking forward to working with them. Although I will miss Jill and Meggan like CRAZY! We are in the middle of TAKS testing right now which is a major snooze fest but the year is drawing to a close so things are going to be hectic trying to get everything in before the end of May. I feel like I'm handling my stress well though...I haven't had any recent stomach issues. I usually run when I'm really stressed or relax with a glass of wine (which happens more often lately :D). Jill tells me that The Creek drives people to drink...well I guess I'm a product of that theory. Soon we will be having 30 days meetings with all of our vendors so I have a feeling once school slows down...wedding will pick up. Which is definately okay because I want everything to be perfect and I want everyone to have an amazing time! :D

Jake is slowly finishing up his internship and has really put himself out there in terms of using his contacts and getting his resume out there in hopes for an interview. We has had a couple of companies contact him but no interviews yet. We will continue to pray for his guidance into the real world. Prayers sent his way are defiantely appreciated. I, personally, am not too concerned because I know him. He is incredibly intelligent and a hard worker. Everything he does, he puts his whole heart into. He'e the kind of guy you know that no matter what the situation or what time of day or how long it has been since ya'll have talked, he would drop anything and everything in a heartbeat to help you. He is all about meeting new people and trying new experiences and excelling in EVERYTHING he does. Overachiever?! Nope...passionate. He is an incredible person to know and love and I am lucky enough to be loved unconditionally by him. God has given me this gift I'm not sure what to do with but I do know that I will love him for everything he is. If you do not know him, you are missing a piece of something in your life. Jake Manchaca is my soulmate and love of my life...and I will soon be blessed enough to call him my husband :) If that doesn't make a girl cry, I'm not sure what will.

Please continue to send prayers Jake's way in the job process. Hopefully we will have some great news soon. I will try to keep up with the blog more than I have lately. We love you all and God bless.

Future Mrs. Manchaca :)
